You can add a newly created Vancouver to that list!
Caelan and his Mamiya 645 w/ 80mm f/2.8.
Rare to see light meters out and about on the streets.
Peter’s Nikon (I think it’s a FG).
So my dad went back to Calgary this week and brought me back my grandfather’s last camera - a Canon EOS 650. I can’t believe this thing is from 1987. When I picked it up, I thought it was from the 90s. It’s in incredible condition.
The battery is still operational, as is the battery in the flash. No leakage. There was a roll of film still in the EOS 650 with 3 shots left so Alex and I shot off the rest and we are going to develop it tomorrow. The expiry date is listed in 2006 so my best guess is that it was maybe in 2004… Before my grandmother had her stroke, putting her in a wheelchair and before my grandfather’s Alzheimer’s took over his mind. Sounds about right.
I’m kinda scared to look at the shots…. But also interested to see if the camera is still functioning. (I’m guessing it is.) If it is, I’ll definitely be shooting off one of my rolls before summer end.
… Also, it sort of makes me wonder what sort of camera I’ll have before I die. Granted I’ll have many, but I still wonder…
Polaroid Sun 660, last of my mothers cameras.

Starting this blog off with my Pentax ME, passed on to me from my mother.
